Executive Director
David Maola has been a leader in the non-profit sector for over 20 years. He has built his career on expanding revenue growth and reorganizing organizations to be more financially successful, while keeping a sharp focus on mission.
After practicing law for several years, Mr. Maola moved into the non-profit area as Assistant Director of Education of the American Law Institute. After developing nationwide continuing education programs for attorneys, Mr. Maola moved to the Philadelphia Bar Association, where he was Assistant Executive Director. His experience after the Bar Association includes Dean of Academic Affairs and Student Development at Peirce College in Philadelphia, where he helped transition the College to a four-year baccalaureate-granting institution. On September 10, 2001, Mr. Maola became Executive Director of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), an international organization of high-rise architects and engineers, where he helped to revitalize the organization during and after the 9/11 crisis. From CTBUH, Mr. Maola moved to the Drug Information Association, an international organization with offices in the U.S., Switzerland, Japan, India, and China that provides continuing education and training for the pharmaceutical industry.
Mr. Maola spent 10 years in the special needs sector as CEO of The Center for Autism in Philadelphia (CFA), the oldest autism treatment facility in the country, and successfully merged CFA into a large public health non-profit to ensure its financial health well into the future. Before CFA, Mr. Maola was President and CEO of The Pathway School and The Pathway Corporation, a Pennsylvania School for children with special needs.
Mr. Maola is joining the team at CHILD USA because of their critical mission to “preserve and strengthen children’s rights.”
