Executive Director

MaryClare Malady serves as the Executive Director of CHILD USA, where she leads the organization’s efforts to advance children’s rights, prevent child sexual abuse, and ensure access to justice for survivors. Having spent six years with CHILD USA in leadership, development, event planning, and organizational roles, she brings a deep understanding of the organization’s mission, operations, and national impact. 

MaryClare joined CHILD USA after a successful career as a preschool teacher, volunteer, and active member of various local and national nonprofit organizations. Her passion for the well-being of every child inspired her to leave the classroom and dedicate her career to advancing CHILD USA’s mission. As Executive Director, she draws upon her diverse professional experiences and wide-ranging skills to lead the organization, support its talented team, strengthen relationships with stakeholders, and serve as an ambassador for its work. 

MaryClare’s guiding philosophy is simple: “Children are amazing. It is our job to make sure they feel loved, nurtured, and valued.” 

MaryClare received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. She continued her education at The Art Institute of Philadelphia, where she earned a Continuing Education Certificate. Committed to lifelong learning, MaryClare continues to pursue professional and personal development through coursework and training in a variety of disciplines. 

Outside of her professional responsibilities, MaryClare enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, acrylic painting, and a competitive game of tennis.
