2021 Honorees

The Sean P. McIlmail Hero Award

This year, the Sean P. McIlmail Hero Award  will be given to Cass Spoerl whose dedication to bringing justice to child sex abuse victims in honor of her son, James Spoerl, is truly heroic.

The Thomas P. Doyle Whistleblower Award

This year, the inaugural Thomas P. Doyle Whistleblower Award  will be given to three amazing people whose dedication to exposing clergy sex abuse and holding the Catholic Church accountable is an inspiration to us all.  This year’s honorees are Suzy Nauman, Terence McKiernan, and Anne Barrett Doyle.

The Barbara Blaine Trailblazer Award

This year, the Barbara Blaine Trailblazer Award  will be given to four women whose bravery and perseverance ensured the creation of the Epstein Victim’s Compensation Fund which provided compensation to hundreds of Epstein victims.  This year’s honorees are US Virgin Islands Attorney General Denise George (left), survivor Sabrina Ewart (right), and two other Epstein Survivors who wish to remain anonymous.

The Voice of the Voiceless Award

This year, the Voice of the Voiceless Award  will be given to Kai Bickle for his dedication to seeking justice for the sex trafficking victims of Peter Nygard.  His extraordinarily brave stand for justice for the victims is an inspiration to all.
